It is an embarassment of riches to have more room for junk than anyone else. When the kids were little, our place was often viewed as treasure island, lots of searching for hidden bootie. I suppose I should start an e-bay business.

Hey there – Rio Grande’s got some excellent saling, definitely. I need to get out there, see if I can find some curtains for my brother’s new house, at least to get him started. And then it doesn’t even clutter up my place!

I just hit my first yard sale (it was an estate sale on north Rio Grande Blvd) two Fridays ago. I would have gone again this weekend if not for my cold. I love yard sales!

Hi OMB – to be honest, Mrs. Bosquechica is the more fervent buyer at yard sales. And we have a frightening amount of room in outbuildings at our little farm. For me, yard sales are a lot like personal histories, mostly appealing to me as a storyteller.

I like it when my ma-in-law and wife have garage sales. But considering all the stuff we’ve already got in our garage, and haven’t used (or sometimes even looked at) in years … garage sales can be scary to me.
